Earning her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin, and her Master’s degree in Counseling from National-Louis University, Beth Haines has worked as a professional singer for over 20 years. She has extensive experience singing various musical styles such as classical, jazz, Broadway, country and pop.
After graduating with her Bachelor of Arts in Voice at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, she began her music career as the lead vocalist and featured dancer (magician’s assistant too!) for the Seawind Cruise Line. After some time performing throughout the Caribbean, she moved to Nashville and immediately began working for Opryland in several of their shows, including a show in which she sang while ice-skating! Opryland’s top executives quickly took notice of her talents, and Beth was asked to debut on the Grand Ole Opry as a featured solo performer. Shortly thereafter, she started touring nationally with multi-platinum country recording artist, Doug Stone. Her travels took her to New York City for several years, where she continued to work on various musical projects including a vocal jazz group, The Julliard School’s oratorio, lots of session work, and ultimately sang on an Emmy-nominated promo for the WB Network.
After moving to New York City, she became a member of The Juilliard School’s Evening Division oratorio, and sang the Emmy-nominated TV promo for the WB Network’s Morning Show. Beth is a seasoned session singer, and has been in many production shows, including Opryland USA, Fireside Theatre, and cruise line features. Beth has also been a featured dancer in several music videos, including Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee,” Tanya Tucker’s “Find Out What’s Happening,” and Lara White’s “White Christmas.” Beth is currently a member of one of Chicago’s premier bands, High Society Orchestra, and sings independently at various venues in the Chicagoland area.
